God is Good

God is good! When everyone leaves and we feel all alone….He’s there. When the world seems upside-down….He’s in control. When our dreams seem to slip away….His promises are faithful. When our heart is breaking….He says, “Hold on.” When we don’t understand….He whispers, “I have a plan.” As we let go….He knows what’s best. As we surrender….fulfillment comes.

Sometimes God calls us to surrender. And sometimes we won’t. We hold on. We grasp tighter and tighter the things He has called us to let go of. It hurts all the more when it’s taken away, when we’re stripped unwillingly of all we know.

The healing of those hurts only come when we agree that God is good. He knows best. He loves us. He will never hurt us. He will never lead us through pain without fulfilling the promise. We may never understand. We’re not supposed to understand. We’re supposed to trust.

“I know the plans I have for you….” You may not know them but He does. “They are plans for good….” You can’t even imagine what God’s definition of “good” is. Do not settle for the world’s definition or you will never experience God’s best. “They are not plans for evil….” Even though bad things may happen, the enemy has already been defeated. If we are trusting God and walking toward His plans and promises, evil will never overtake us. “I desire and plan to give you a future and a hope….”

God is good!

People who don’t know God and the way He works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how He works. Steep yourself in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Don’t be afraid of missing out. You’re My dearest friends! The Father wants to give you the very kingdom itself. Luke 12:30-32 (The Message)
